Star Wars - The Force Awakens
I grew up watching the original trilogy and loved them.

The next three were poor and Jar Jar Binks was just awful.

But even though greedy George Lucas allowed every facet of his films to be subject to merchandising, he could never match the hype and marketing that Disney have managed, to the point of utter saturation.

I have even seen Boba Fett sanitary towels and Princess Leia fungal nail ointment for goodness sake!

The Force Awakens better be worth the hype.

Went on Sunday to watch it as not so busy, also thought it was pretty average. I don't know if it's a valid comparison but much preferred Gravity, The Martian and the last two Star trek movies. It's a marvel of marketing not movie making.

Didn't think much of this at all.

This thread and the germany thread. So that's 2 threads he and I were bickering on out of how many...?

That constitutes 'practically every thread' to you, does it?

Plank.

Re: Star Wars - The Force Awakens
You might want to try looking up 'practically' while you're learning then, or are you just ignoring that because it doesn't fit in with trying to make yourself look clever?

It didn't work if so, just so you know.

Cupcake is a high form of insult.

I don't think you know what 'fawning' means, cupcake.

Try this:

After you have looked up 'fawning', look up 'every'. I think you are struggling with that word, too.

Learning is fun!

Re: Star Wars - The Force Awakens
My comments were nothing to do with the film, and everything to do with you two fawning all over each other on practically every thread.

Got pulled into a hairdryer and frazzled to death, cholo. A catastrophe. Should have used his diffuser attachment.

*peers at the screen*

Oh I'm sorry, sausage. Are we ruining your enjoyment of your kids' fantasy film?

How about this?

Oooh, I think Jangly Bart is the long lost daughter of Flaaaph the evil Sith who killed Chewy Backie and is a double agent who is on the side of the squeaky teddy bears in Return of the Jedi.

Is there any thread you pair of wankers won't ruin in your desperation to shove some part of yourself in the other?

FINALLY, I see where you're going with this.

Why not just come out and say so from the start?

you are Irish and you clearly hate the English establishment - but of course you are not capable enough to be IRA.

That lot are pretty smart by selection.

I think you are tried to link me with the IRA. It must have seemed like a good idea to you at the time. It would be nice if I could express surprise and incredulity but I am past that where you are concerned. You are strange. Now go ahead and try to style it out.
